Summary of what happen during the weekend:-

Friday – 9 June 2006 – off day

I slept for almost 12 hours but woke up still feeling tired. I dunno why. So I decided to go for my facial at Takashimaya at 3pm but I was 15 mins late. Oops! The head and shoulder massage really help to relax my stiff muscles. One thing I like about this beauty parlor is that the session took almost 2 hrs. Others only took 45mins to 1hr. This is what I call value for money. Haha.

Then I was off to Ramen Ten at Far East for dinner with darling. I wonder how much mayo they had to use for all of their servings. I felt like I ate a whole jar. Really fattening!

John Williams & Richard Harvey’s World Tour at Esplanade – 7.30pm. A night I will never forget. It was awesome. Having two most talented people on stage performing live in front of you is absolutely unforgettable. And with darling beside me, makes the night more memorable.

Saturday – 10 June 2006 – AL

Went to my cousin’s engagement. She is only 24yrs old. I was still stuggling with work at that age man! How can she be getting engaged? I guess her time has come.

Guess what? Her fiance is related to the famous Aziz Satar. The celeb’s younger brother is in fact her fiance’s grandfather. Let’s see which other celebrity will join the family. Haha.

Sunday – 11 June 2006 – rest day

I was in a dilemma today. Should I go or not? Well, I did. My uncle persuaded me to go. It was my ex’s and his younger sister’s wedding day. Went with my parents, uncle, aunty and we met my uncle’s twin brother there. Looks like a family outing huh? You know, I just wished the day would be over soon, that’s all. I just wanna get outta there in a flash.

You may wonder why the whole family was invited. Firstly, I knew N since 1996. However, we broke up peacefully and we are still friends, not enemies. Secondly, his parents knew my parents from the mosque. Thirdly, his father knew my uncle from the police force. In fact, I knew most of his family members but they seem to forget me already. That’s ok and I prefer it that way. However, I just had that strange feeling when I salam his mom and she gave me that strange smile. Argh! I hate to be in that situation.

Hmm…how come I didn’t see Art Fazil and Faizal Ishak there? By the way those are his uncle and cousin respectively.

Anyway, I didn’t have the chance to see N and his wife, only his sister and her SIA pilot husband. His parents must be darn proud. Good for them. I wish both couples a happy and everlasting marriage.

Then, went to John Little’s sale at Expo. Bought a pillow and quilt. I just love the smell of new pillows. Another 12hrs of sleep tonight? Maybe…

Watched Mountain Patrol(borrowed from my colleague, P) on dvd before I retire to bed. A powerful movie, inspired by a documentary, Balance, about protecting the endangered Tibetan antelope from extinction. Based on a true story, vigilante rangers struggles to hunt for poachers in the land of Kekexili. It’s a very touching movie indeed. Everyone should watch it.

Well, I’m a sucker for these types of movies, especially based on true events, and foreign movies. Maybe someday I’ll bring darling to Picturehouse. ;)

Monday – 12 June 2006 – off day

Home alone…doing nothing. Watched Constant Gardener on dvd. Such a sad movie. I don’t think I can watch it the second time. Those African kids really touched my heart.

Weighed myself – 43 kg. Yipee! I’ve put on some weight. No wonder my jeans are a bit tight now. But my aim is 45 kg, I’ve always wanted to have that curvier hip…haha! But fasting month is coming in a few months time and I should be back to my usual 39-40 kg weight. Sigh! This is so tough. People are struggling to lose weight and I’m struggling to put on weight. That’s life man!

Alright, dats all folks...
