I just had to write this down...
....partly because Sham 'ordered' me to do so. This is for you Sham.
Let's start off with what happened last Saturday.
My mom told me to wear this pink baju kurung coz the rest were not so appropriate for the evening. So I found a matching scarf, not realising that the colour didn’t match my skin at all. And I was too excited that I chose the wrong face powder. Well, I had this MAC compact powder that I bought not too long ago. And I bought the wrong colour. It was darker than my skin tone. So, that evening, I was wiping my face with tissue paper but the colour seems to stick to my skin. Sometimes, when you wanted things to be perfect, it’ll happen otherwise. I really thought I looked like an Indonesian maid that night. I was repeating this in my head "first impression, first impression" but I blew it. Maybe that was why I had to hide in the kitchen and forced my aunty to stay with me. And we were joking about this maid look-a-like thing.
Aunty: M, you should tell them this (with Indo accent)"Tidak Bu, saya bukan pengantinnya Bu! Dia ada di dalam Bu. Dia malu Bu!"
Me: (laughing)
Aunty: "TinggiNYA…(pause)….badanNYA…(pause)…
Me: "HitamNYA…" (giggle)
Aunty: "SemuaNYA sama macam saya Bu!" Maybe next time when you meet them, tell them that they saw the maid, not you! Hehee...
We had a good laugh in the kitchen. It was fun. But there’s one thing, I was told that there’s going to be just 3 person coming. The number grew to almost 3 times. There were 8 of them. Apa tak geletar aku! Sigh, this is just the beginning. I hope his siblings will love me as much as they love my darling. Scareee lah…
In fact I had a busy weekend. Went to the exhibition @ expo for 2 days. I’m glad that we managed to settle some of the major bookings like catering and bridal stuff. I’m beginning to feel that my $$ is decreasing at top speed. Ouch! My pocket hurts…
Just today, I got to know that my ex-colleague was bedridden since December. Can you remember the actress who once replaced Rilla Melati in Cinta Bollywood? Yes, she was my colleague more than 7 years ago. If you get to read today’s Berita Harian, 10 Jan, page 26, there is a small article about her. When I read that, I had tears in my eyes. I didn’t expect such things would happen to her. So, I called her about 3 hours ago and asked how she’s doing. The saddest thing is that she couldn’t even sit on the wheelchair for long. She had to stay in bed all the time. When I was talking to her, I cried coz her voice seems so helpless. She was 4 mths pregnant and had to give it up due to her condition. And the thing is the doc couldn’t diagnose her illness.
Dear frens, please pray for my fren, Razana. She was my confidant and was a very good fren. She always made me smile and was such a jovial person. I’m so sad that this is happening to her. I’m going to pay her a visit at the hospital tomorrow. Please pray that she’ll get well soon. Amin.
