A night out with my friends
It was raining the whole day yesterday but I still went ahead with my plans to meet up with my old friends whom I’ve not seen for a very long time, maybe since World War II. So, R was supposed to call me upon approaching my bustop but he didn’t. My six sense told me that I would miss the bus he’s on and I did. That was why I called him and he was in the bus that just went by. Maybe I can sense that his presence was near. Isn’t it strange?
So, we were half an hour late. I met my friends at Salero Bundo along Bussorrah Street. Hugged and kissed cheek-to-cheek, Mami and Niki of course. Wow the place was crowded! What can you expect from a cheap $6.90/person for a sumptuous buffet dinner? So, everyone was rushing for the food. For the first time, my food didn’t fly out of my plate and I didn’t spill any gravy on my clothes. Darling did! Tsk..tsk..tsk..Heheee…
And after dinner, all 10 of us went to a nearby coffeshop and chat over tea. Mami was the comedian, as usual! And if you hadn’t noticed, her fiancé would just relax one corner and laughed at her jokes. If not for her fiancé, she would’ve planned for a wedding with Isam at the age of 40. Hahaa..Anyway, I’m very happy for her. And Niki’s getting married next year too, and another guy, F, sometime next month. Geez…everyone’s tying the knot. When is my turn? And my mother kept asking me the same question. *sweat* And I can’t help noticing everyone was so interested to find out more about R and everyone was paying 100% attention when he speaks. Of course, he’s somebody new in the group and everyone else was very interested. Or should I say…KPO! Haha…Juz kidding guyz… ;p
R and I left at 9.30pm. I know I had a wonderful time. I hope he did too. But waiting for the cab just sucks. 1 bloody hour. But the journey home was absolutely blissful.
P.S. I was wondering whether I was smiling when I slept last night. Haha.. Mami’s fault.
