An old note...from an old friend

Earlier today, I was digging out my old magazines and wanted to throw them away when I found a piece of paper torn from a magazine with a note handwritten from my dearest ex-colleague. It said...

Dearest M,

I know nothing can stop you from hurting right now...It's a pretty normal feeling. But I also know that this, too, shall pass. Sometimes we really have to let go of the things & people we once had. It may not be very easy at first but in due time, you'll overcome the pain.

Bear in mind that you are a lovable person & that one day your knight-in-shining-armour will come & carry you to his castle & you'll be happy forever!

I'll pray for you & I'll always be there to be your friend. Ingat!*

I remembered, that time was my most hurtful breakup I ever had and she was there to ease my pain. When she gave me this note, I truly believed that someday my knight will come and rescue me.

I just realised, it's the exact date, 2 years later, that I met Snail for the first time. Things can be so coincidental, huh! But I believe, it was God, The Almighty, who have lead me to find the man of my dreams. And I've always thought that despite all the hardships I went through, there's a blessing in disguise.

Anyway, Maya went back to the Phils soon after, got married and had a beautiful son. I supposed, her knight must've carried her from S'pore to Phils and live a wonderful life together.
