AP112 Abnormal Psychology

In my last lecture, I was particularly intrigued by the topic about depersonalization disorder. Maybe i wasn't as knowledgeable that i've not heard of such thing as having a tunnel vision. These people would feel that, for a moment, their soul have left their body and looked down at themselves from the back. Cool but frightening! Not for me but for those who is suffering from it. But it is true that these people have severe and frightening feelings of unreality and detachment. And the worse part is that the onset is typically around the age of 16 and it usually runs a lifelong chronic course.

Currently reading a book on multiple personalities. I don't enjoy reading story books (that is why my English is that bad huh!!) but i had to. But Schreiber, F. R. made reading so enjoyable that i might get another book on related issues.

Sybil - The true story of a woman possesed by 16 separate personalities.

I am reading this book like a snail. Slow and steady. Must be my pillow is more tempting than the book. Lol. But it's a darn good book.

Since R is busy studying for his exams, i thought i should get started on my essays. One is for Abnormal Psychology and the other is Human Growth & Development. So i asked Zack and H out to visit Woodlands Regional Library (WRL) to do some research on alcoholism. But H couldn't make it so it was just the 2 of us left. By the way, i'll never step into WRL alone ever again. Psychos can be anywhere!

On the way home, i met the famous B J Kadir in the bus. He was really smart in his malay costume. We smiled at each other and he sat in front of me. Then he turned to chat with me like as if we've known each other for long. He's one of the many celebs that i really respect because he's never arrogant towards his fans and he's humourous too. Anyways, the conversation was about weddings (because he just came back from a wedding recep), dress codes while attending a wedding recep, all kinds of food, men who board the bus after a trip to the Turf Club, and many more stuff which i couldn't remember anymore. All within 10-15 mins.

B J, nice meeting you. You really made my day.... :p

michael chua - hey thanks for dropping by!

i guess, based on our beliefs, there's really such things as demons but not in psychology though. it's difficult not to link it together.
