Role Play

It’s been a bad week. Teaming up with was H was a bad decision. I’m so bloody serious about my role play exam, but it seemed that she wasn’t. That’s the problem with pair/team work.

I was supposed to meet her at 3.30pm last Saturday but she came at 5.15pm. I was so mad that I scolded her, in public, till she almost cried. She didn’t have the decency to sms or call me to tell me that she’ll be late. I had to call her to ask. What is this man? The thing about me is that I’m ok if you sms me and tell me that you’ll be late. So, we only had 45 mins to discuss coz I had to meet an old friend whom I’ve not seen for more than 12 years. By the way, S was beautiful, as always…

Then Sunday was another bad day. H was supposed to call me in the afternoon but she didn’t. I waited till 11pm and decided to sms her. I wrote – ‘Why didn’t you call me? Forget it lah! I’ll just see you tomorrow. I’m going to sleep already’. Met her on Monday and only then she started to explain to me. I find her explanation was totally unacceptable. Her friend stayed with her while her parents were in overseas. And this friend took a long time to get ready and that caused the delay. She said that she couldn’t leave home coz her friend was afraid of being home alone. What the fish! Then about Sunday, she said that she fell asleep. Bloody fish!!

Anyway, she had another good scolding from me on Monday. We stayed till 10pm to work on our script that day. So on Tuesday, we only had about less than 2 hrs to memorize it, right before the exam. The only good thing is that we get to know our marks on the spot. Both of us had Distinctions for this role play. It was such a relief. In fact, I was actually aiming for it, that was why I was taking this seriously. I also got to know that the other teams didn’t prepare any script. Even my lecturer was surprised that we did. Hmm…

Forget all that, now it’s time to work on the essays.

The pain is killing me...

I couldn't sleep well last night. Right after last night’s shower, my WHOLE body is aching till now. Even my fingers and my little toes are aching. The last time this happened was 5 years ago when I had my chicken pox. Oh man! Don’t tell me I’m going to fall sick again. But right now, I’m sitting in the office with a crooked face. I’m just enduring the pain. I don't think the panadol is doing a good job. Arrggh! How I wish I can take MC and rest at home.

Only God knows...

Something shocking happen today. It’s really unexpected. I dun believe there’s still people like that ‘woman’ who would do anything for the sake of her own satisfaction. And the victim suffers.

Girl, you should’ve just let him go to that despicable ‘woman’. See what she has done to you? No one can save you now. Not even me or my colleagues. I don’t want you to lose everything that you've worked hard for because of her. She has really gone too far this time. Tell the truth girl. Coz only the truth can save you…

I know that you are a good girl. I can see it in your eyes. I’ll pray for u…

I can finally sleep for 10 hrs...

It’s been a busy week. I’ve been working since last Monday and even my Saturday off was packed with activities. Today, I can finally rest.

Lets talk about last Saturday. I went out at 8.30am and visited IMH in the morning, went to Toa Payoh for lunch with H, went to my colleague’s solemnization ceremony at Jurong, went to Suntec and meet up with my 4 other colleagues and off to Cineleisure to watch Wolf Creek. All 13 of us were disturbed by the movie maybe because we knew it is based on a true story. Now we’ve decided not to step our foot in Australia. I read that currently a similar event is happening in Western Australia. Scary man!

Reached home at half hour past midnight. It's such a long day. Even work is not this tiring.

Synopsis taken from www.wolfcreekthemovie.com:

It was supposed to be the vacation of a lifetime in the Australian Outback – full of fun sun and adventure. But what happened to a trio of twentysomething backpackers took a wrenching detour into the depths of unrelenting terror. Based on true events, WOLF CREEK is the haunting story of their unthinkable ordeal – a mounting white-knuckle nightmare so real it was to become horror legend.

WOLF CREEK is a startlingly intense motion picture experience of a rapidly escalating dread and suspense. At the Sundance Film Festival, the film – written and directed by Melbourne’s Greg McLean – was acclaimed as a daring, originally blend of visually hypnotic thriller with unbearably scary movie.

The chillingly believable events begin as freewheeling, college-aged pals Liz, Kristy and Ben head out for a holiday hike in stunning Wolf Creek National Park to see its mysterious meteor crater. When they return their car won’t start. Trapped in the vast emptimess of the wilderness – all they can do is wait for rescue. Luckily, as night falls, along comes colourful local bushman Mick and his massive truck, offering a tow to safety. But as the sun comes up the next morning, it becomes shockingly apparent that Mick has no intention of fixing their car or letting them leave the Outback…ever again. As Liz, Kristy and Ben search for any conceivable way out, WOLF CREEK plunges towards an unforgettable climax.

Working on Sunday was fun. The central air-con wasn’t working even though we’ve asked to turn it on. I have no idea what reasons they gave for not turning it on. The office was hot and stuffy even with a few fans. My sales were just alright. I cannot compare with my colleagues who went to the roadshow. Someone gotta be in the office to pick up calls right. Rezeki is in the hands of Allah swt. I can only try my very best.

Now I gotta go buy lunch for my beloved cousins. Chao peeps…

F***

You guessed wrong. It's FEAR!

On Tuesday evening, we were watching a video on a counselling session done by students from the previous semester. It was hilarious. Their storyline was way out. But the girl who cried was extraordinary. I’m so impressed. Hey, I’m not an Oscar award winning actress. I don’t think I can shed tears for such role plays.

Since I laughed at them, I guess I deserve retribution. I have to pair up with H for the role play. It all resulted from coming back late from tea break. Darn! We shouldn’t have left the classroom. But I was so hungry, I just need a bite. The minute we stepped into the classroom, Mr Naidu said,”Ok! The 2 girls who came back late will be next.” Then I thought, THAT was the end of the world.

I have a serious problem with stage fright. My hands started trembling. Both H and I were so terrified. I whispered to H,“How, how, how? Do u have a story to tell? Who’ll become the client? Who’ll become the counselor? I’m so scared. I dunno what to say. I think I can tell my friend’s story. I’ll just amend a little. Oh my God! It’s drawing nearer. The guys are finishing soon. But don’t worry, we’ll do just fine. We just need to face our fears. But how now? I want to run away. Help me!”. Within 5 mins, we had to come up with a storyline and a rough script. Gosh! That was so pressurizing.

That abnormal yet overwhelming feeling of anxiety was so intense the second I lift my arse off that seat. You can imagine how I dragged my feet to the front of the class and make a fool of myself. It’s embarrassing. My classmates were laughing at us. But they said that I kept my cool. U-uh! They have no idea how my heart was beating at its top speed.

But, hey, we did it! Mr Naidu said that we did good. I’m so proud of H and myself. However, this is not the end. The actual exam will be held next month. I hope I won't die of a heart attack. Pray for me please....

Hmm...I've yet to post my Dinner & Dance pics. You'll love it!

Sugar Pie Honey Bunch

The Four Tops - I Can't Help Myself (Sugar Pie Honey Bunch)

Sugar pie, honey bunch
You know that I love you
I can't help myself
I love you and nobody else
In and out my life
You come and you go
Leaving just your picture behind
And I kissed it a thousand times

When you snap your finger or wink your eye
I come a-running to you
I'm tied to your apron strings
And there's nothing that I can do
Can't help myself
No, I can't help myself

Sugar pie, honey bunch
I'm weaker than a man should be
I can't help myself
I'm a fool in love you see
Wanna tell you I don't love you
Tell you that we're through
And I've tried
But ev'ry time I see your face
I get all choked up inside

When I call your name
Girl, it starts the flame
Burning in my heart
Tearing it all apart
No matter how I try
My love I cannot hide

Sugar pie, honey bunch
You know that I'm weak for you
Can't help myself
I love you and nobody else

Sugar pie, honey bunch
Do anything you ask me to
Can't help myself
I want you and nobody else
