Watch this!!

Les Choristes (2004) is one of the best foreign movies I've watched so far. The little meaningful things a person would do to protect the children despite their mischievous nature and at the same time practising what is most dear to his heart, music. A very touching movie indeed. It is similar to Dead Poets Society though but this is better. I’m definitely getting the DVD. I must!

My colleague also borrowed me another French movie, Amelie, which is great as well. Love it!

Another movie waiting for me is The Road to Guantanamo. I bought the DVD recently but have no time to watch it, or is it that I can’t bear to watch those prisoners suffer?

Told you I’m a sucker for foreign movies! :)

For now, I gotta save my energy coz I’ll be working for 9 days straight AGAIN!!! My next off day will be 9 Sept. Oh man, that is so far away.

Dear colleagues, let’s start the war tomorrow…

I know I'm home...

My favourite song at the moment...

Never Gonna Leave Your Side ~ Daniel Bedingfield

Chorus:
I gotta have a reason to wake up in the morning
You used to be the one that put a smile on my face
There are no words that could describe how I miss you
And I miss you everyday, yeah

And I'm never gonna leave your side
And I'm never gonna leave your side again
Still holding on girl
I won't let you go
Cause when I'm lying in your arms
I know I'm home

Refreshed

Over the last weekend, I was away at Turi Beach Resort, Batam to rest & relax. Been working non-stop, so decided to take a break with one of my female colleague, S.

We took advantage of our staff promotion instead of booking directly through their website. Here are the breakdown:-

Standard Villa: $98(Wkday) + $118(Wkend) = $216 (choose either 2 Queen size beds or 1 King size bed)
Welcome drink (Air Halia...uwek!)
Daily Buffet Breakfast
2-way land transfer to-fro Hotel & Nonsapura ferry Terminal
10% discount off seasports activities
20% discount off (wkday) & 15% discount off (wkend) ala carte spa menu
Complimentary use of gym and kid’s club
Complimentary in-room mineral water and coffee/tea making facilities

Ok ok it doesn’t include the 35-minutes ferry ride from Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal but still I think it’s worth it. So on the first day, we were just too lazy to do anything. At the same time, we were still amazed by the breathtaking view of the sea. It’s like free spa for my eyes. Absolutely wonderful.

On the second day, I had my Indonesian Urut by the pool. Fuh, superb! Then, in the afternoon, we went to town for a lil bit of shopping and packed Chilli Crab + Steam Fish back to our hotel room for dinner. We wanted to get a third dish but I’m glad we didn’t coz there’s so much food. Too bad I’ve got a small stomach.

Before we say goodbye to Turi Beach, I had the most delicious meal throughout the whole trip, Sizzling Hot Stone – Tenderloin. The fact that the restaurants in Singapore are not halal, so this first experience is unforgettable. The only word to describe it…POWER!!

The best thing about this trip is that the time passes by so slowly and that helped me to relax and forget about Singapore for 6 days…oops, 3 days. Yah it really felt that long…

What the hell!!!

Something weird happen today. I was with my grandfather, uncle, 2 aunties and 4 of my cousins having dinner at West Coast. I had something earlier on, so, I only had a drink. Anyway, from my view, I noticed 2 malay guys sitting 2 tables away and they kept looking at my direction. At first I thought that I looked familiar to them, but later I noticed one of the guys actually took out his handphone and pointing the camera at me. So, I decided to cover half of my face with my left hand and started to stare at them. I was hoping that they would stop whatever that they were doing. I told one of my aunties and she also realised that he immediately stopped taking a photo/video of me when he noticed I was staring at him. At that point I felt like smashing his handphone. Hmm…I’m still wondering if he did take a picture of me. If he did, he better not do anything bad or I’ll sue him in court. You know what photoshop can do and these perverts will publish those pics in the internet. So, if anyone found a pic of me naked, that body is not mine, they just borrowed my face. Lol…

What if I confront him and he denied it and I'll be making a fool of myself? What would you do if you are in my position?

A sigh of relief

I’ve discovered a product that is really superb for my combination skin. Although I’ve tried some of their products before and at that time it didn’t really do good for my skin. So I thought that I chose the wrong products.

Having combination skin can be really frustrating. Even if some products states that it is suitable for all skin types, it’s not. I end up having a more oily T-zone and drier cheeks. I hated the dry skin coz it makes me look old. And the oily T-zone would clog my pores with unwanted whiteheads and blackheads. I realised that I can only get rid of it after a really good facial treatment. By the way, I'm trying to finish up all my facial treatments so that I don't have to spend anymore at the beauty parlour. They are hardcore sales people and I hate it.

Here are the products that I bought from Origins.

In fact I liked all three products. The ‘Checks and Balance - Frothy face wash’ is absolutely amazing for combination skin. My skin feels so fresh. The ‘A Perfect World - White tea skin guardian’ gives a smooth finish and for the first time, I fell in love with my skin. Out of these 3 products, I really liked the ‘Modern Friction - Nature's gentle dermabrasion’ best. It gives my skin a smoother and polished finish. It also helps to reduce the pore size.

As for this mask, ‘Clear Improvement - Active charcoal mask to clear pores’, it is one of the best mask that I’ve tried so far. My pores on my nose have significantly reduced after my first use.

Ok, ok, enough of lousy advertisements. But seriously, these are excellent products for me and I’m enjoying my skin right now. Finally, I found what I'm looking for. If only I knew sooner, I wouldn't have invested my money on all the other products.

Nothing to write abt...

Everytime I wrote something personal and later decided to publish it on this blog, I ended up deleting it. Ok, maybe not so personal, more like my real thoughts, my dreams and expectations. How I wish I know what my future holds for me. At least I’ll know what needs to be done, so that I won’t be too disappointed if things didn’t turn out the way it was supposed to be.

My point is that I’m not able to express everything here and that builds up the frustrations. That is the only disadvantage. It has also caused my occasional disappearance lately. Should I just go back to my normal journal writing instead?

Anyways, now I am trying to be less talkative ever since one of my colleague started her numerous questions asking about my life, especially about my love life. I’m not revealing anything and therefore, I became a quieter person at work. It’s not like I’m THAT close to her. It’s that she THOUGHT/ASSUME that we are close, like sisters. Duh! I hate that! When I like something and wanted to buy it, she said that we could get the same thing coz we are sisters. Don’t you feel irritated? She’s like a leech and will follow me wherever I go. Do you know how hard this is? The more she wants to be close to me, the more I will stay far away from her. But, of course, she didn’t realise it. HELP! SOS!

I need sleep now. Gotta face her tomorrow. Sigh!
