Time to Say Goodbye...Bach, you'll be missed!

I must be influenced by AI's episode this week. Don't you think Andrea Bocelli has such a manly voice just like Pavarotti? Such voices are not for daily conversations though, makes my hair stand on end. It only sounds good on CD or the radio. Duncha think? Anyways, I love this song...I can kiss him if he sings in front of me...eeeyucks!

isam & duan - *whistling* :D

Please excuse me, coz I really need to lie down. I'm having the worst fever ever....ELECTION FEVER!!

Con Te Partirò (Time to Say Goodbye) featuring Sarah Brightman

Quando sono solo sogno all’orizzonte e mancan le parole,
Si lo so che non c’è luce in una stanza quando manca il sole,
se non ci sei tu con me, con me.
Su le finestre
mostra a tutti il mio cuore che hai acceso,
chiudi dentro me
la luce che
hai incontrato per strada.
Time to say goodbye.
Paesi che non ho mai
veduto e vissuto con te,
adesso si li vivrò,
Con te partirò
su navi per mari
che, io lo so,
no, no, non esistono più.
It’s time to say goodbye…
Quando sei lontana sogno all’orizzonte e mancan le parole,
e io sì lo so che sei con me,
tu mia luna tu sei qui con me,
mio sole tu sei qui con me,
con me, con me, con me.
Time to say goodbye.
Paesi che non ho mai
veduto e vissuto con te,
adesso si li vivrò.
Con te partirò
su navi per mari
che, io lo so,
no, no, non esistono più,
con te io li rivivrò.
Con te partirò
su navi per mari
che, io lo so,
no, no, non esistono più,
con te io li rivivrò.
Con te partirò.
Io con te.
*********************************************
When I'm alone I dream on the horizon and words fail;
yes, I know there is no light in a room where the sun is absent,
if you are not with me, with me.
At the windows
show everyone my heart which you set alight;
enclose within me
the light you
encountered on the street.
Time to say goodbye
to countries I never
saw and shared with you,
now, yes, I shall experience them.
I'll go with you
on ships across seas
which, I know,
no, no, exist no longer.
It's time to say goodbye
When you are far away I dream on the horizon and words fail,
and, Yes, I know that you are with me;
you, my moon, are here with me,
my sun, you are here with me,
with me, with me, with me.
Time to say goodbye
To countries I never
Saw and shared with you,
now, yes, I shall experience them.
I'll go with you
On ships across seas
which, I know,
no, no, exist no longer,
with you I shall experience them again.
I'll go with you
On ships across seas
Which, I know,
No, no, exist no longer;
with you I shall experience them again.
I'll go with you,
I with you.

Look at that bird! So cute...

Air on a G String

~ Johann Sebastian Bach (1685 ~ 1750)

Ever since I started listening to classical music, I'm hooked. Imagine sitting in a balcony on a Sunday morning, with a cuppa coffee and reading a fantastic novel plus listening to a soothing collection of classical music. Fuh! Heaven...

Fyi, listening to classical music is good for you....

More of my volunteer work...

I’m beginning to find my alternate Saturday offs more meaningful than any other day. I was back to the hospital for the volunteer work this afternoon. The residents were so happy to see H and I coming back to visit them again. They even asked why we didn’t come last week. So I guess they must’ve missed us.

This is only my second time there and I’m feeling so attached to that place. Those people love us and they enjoy our company. Do I get such treatment at work? NO! That is why I feel the need to go back there again. Talking to them and learning from them is a totally different experience. Maybe it’s fate that brought me there. When I’m there, I felt so isolated, far from everything else. But at the same time I felt like I’m home. I began to develop feelings of happiness, fear, sadness and empathy all at the same time. If you were there, you’ll know what I mean.

Here are some of the drawings done by two of the residents. I love it!

Before I left the premises, one of the residents shook my hand and said,"Rindu pakcik eh?" means "Miss uncle?". So I said yes, I’ll miss him and he gave me that big smile. I was soooo touched man! If only I could just give him a hug.

Bad day at work

Last week was about my family, this week is about my work. Tell me what is going to happen next week? TELL ME!!!!!! I'm getting SICK & TIRED of this job.

Look at those targets. 6 of them. And the figures are increasing every month. If you think 100+ is a small figure, try sitting in my chair and call all my customers. Most of the time each of us could only hit 2 or sometimes 3 of the targets. It’s really not easy to ‘sell’ something over the phone. Besides that, we still need to be sooooo bloody thick skin and ask our customers to write compliment letters. The team meeting we had yesterday was totally pointless. The manager wanted our feedback on how we can improve our productivity and when we voice out, we get scolded. WTF!

Let me tell you, I’ve been in this company for 6 ½ years. I know the kind of tricks they are playing…all of them! Within this period, I’ve been through several mergers, I’ve changed my designation 2 times and I’ve worked with so many managers and they keep changing every few months. I really wonder how I can pull through all that, trying to adapt to different environments, different managers and all the crazy customers. It was crazy!

Have I ever mentioned that I ever cried in front of a customer but the customer still shouted at me? He has a heart made of stone. I hope he’ll die f**kin’ a mannequin. And just now my customer said,"…Oh, so your name is M the PLANET??". And he laughed hysterically over the phone. I can also hear his family members laughing in the background. My God! These people have no manners at all. He’s so rude…f**kin’ rude! The other day another idiot said,"Your name is M!!!! I’m JUPITER!!". I think there’s no use having courtesy campaigns in this country. The people are not practising it. It’s POINTLESS!!

Ok…ENOUGH!! I’m looking forward to Saturday…

PS ~ I'm still thinking about something...makes me smile all day :) Right Daphynaz?

What should I do now?

I’m having doubts about the way I lead my life. Sometimes I think I should do the right thing but I can’t seem to be doing it right. It’s about everything – my job, my family, my friends, my love life…

I wished that someday I’ll be able to find the answers to all the questions in my head. I feel that there are missing pieces in my life that were supposed to make me a happier person. Or should I be a different person to feel happier? I wished my life weren’t that complicated even though it may seem not. I wished that I could’ve met nicer people in my past. I wished that I could have chosen a better career path. I wished that I didn't make many wrong decisions in the past that have caused the present to be the way it is now. I wished that I've not met the ex-bfs. I wished that falling in love was a little bit sweeter. I wished that all my wishes can come true...

I wished for so many things and that made me a little envious when someone else’s life is the kind that I’ve always wanted. Whatever it is, I should be grateful for what I have now. It could’ve been worse...

Thanks man!

Darling Snail, Isam, Duan, Bing, Em ~ Thanks for your kind words! I'm touched. I really appreciate Isam for asking me out last night. Anyway, I've not seen the rest for ages. I was the happiest girl there despite all that had happened on Friday. I needed a time out.

Now that everything's almost back to normal, I suppose I can resume my usual activities. I'm always the kind to try and solve every problem ASAP. I can't be crying for weeks, can I?

I've just added a Flickr badge. Go take a look at my D&D pics on 2 March 2006. Why did I take so long to upload these pics huh? Lazy I guess.

Isam ~ I'm happy for you & E. I've been waiting for this you know! ;p

Away...

I've been crying non stop since a few hours ago. I hope this is just another phase in my life that will pass and everything will go back to normal again. I just dunno who to turn to but my sis.

I thought I just want everyone to know that I won't be blogging for a while. I need to think!

My new friends...

I’ve just had the best Saturday ever. It was my first volunteer work with our ‘special’ friends. Initially, I thought that I won’t be able to cope with them and I have no idea what to say to them. Before H and I made our first step into the area, we both cited the Al-Fatihah, Ayat Kursi, whatever that we could remember. We were that scared. However, that first step totally changed everything. I’m glad I made that move. Can u believe that H almost wanted to back out upon reaching the lobby? But I told her that we have to do this. We must!

Anyway, before all that, we were told that most of these people are suffering from Schizophrenia. And one of the residents would keep on shouting. Knowing that, scares the hell outta me.

However, all my assumptions were wrong. We were welcomed with handshakes and smiles, lots of smiles. I just love their hospitality. They would come up to me and asked for my name and they wanted to know more about me. One of them told me that he wanted to teach me how to draw. So we drew a flower, a village and mountains. Surprisingly, he drew better than me. The way he speaks seemed like any other ordinary guy but after a while I knew what went wrong. It’s a pity..really!

I’ve never thought that this experience would make me a little wiser. Our presence was all they need. Imagine living within those 4 walls with 30-40 others and just do nothing, day in day out. I’ll surely go crazy if I were in that situation. The thing is, why is it that the society cannot accept them yet? I see my own friends mock at them or simply make fun of them. I’m totally disturbed by this. O..come on! They are just like us but with a special gift. Come to think of it, the way they treated me back there was way better than some sane people I know.

Anyway, I’m looking forward to see them again.
